How much does a copy of a birth certificate cost?

Records are $10 per copy in person and $15 per copy via the mail. Records that are over 100 years old (1923 or older) are considered genealogical requests and the search fee ($10 per record in person/$15 per record via the mail) is non-refundable. If the record is located, the search cost does cover the cost of one record.

If a child was born in Haverhill or if the mother lived in Haverhill at the time of the birth, we should have the record.

Generally, birth certificates are public records. If the parents of the child were NOT married at the time of the child's birth OR an adoption was involved in the birth, the record is restricted to those named on the record - the child, mother, father, etc. with a valid photo identification.
