Swasey Splash Pad is open daily 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Due to the heat wave, we will extend the hours to 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM from Wednesday, July 1 through Sunday, July 5.
Additionally, Plug Pond on Sanders Rd is open for swimming 7 days a week from 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Day, Season, and Senior Lifetime Passes are available online for purchase at www.haverhillrec.com. We recommend purchasing any pass ahead of time as passes tend to sell out quickly on holidays, weekends, and heat waves. Senior Lifetime Passes can be picked up at the Citizen Center. All passes can be picked up at the Plug Pond Boat House during open hours. Please review beach rules and pass information prior to arrival.
Please take precautions to stay safe during this extreme heat. Heat-related illnesses can happen quickly - especially for young children, older adults, and pets. Check on neighbors, especially the elderly or those without air conditioning. A quick check-in can save a life.
If you experience symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, confusion, or excessive sweating, seek medical attention immediately.
