I-495 Southbound: Overnight Closure of Exit 106 Ramp to Industrial Avenue Eastbound

 

Exit 106 on I-495 southbound will be closed each night from Tuesday, October 14, through Friday, October 17, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 am the following morning

 

HAVERHILL – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing an overnight closure of the exit 106 offramp on I-495 southbound to Industrial Avenue eastbound in Haverhill to carry out bridge repairs. The offramp will be closed each night from Tuesday, October 14, to Friday, October 17, from the hours of 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning.

Drivers seeking to access exit 106 on I-495 southbound will be detoured to exit 104, (Route 110/Merrimack Street). Drivers will take a left at the intersection at the top of the ramp and follow signage to the I-495 northbound onramp on the right. Travelers will continue on I-495 northbound to the exit 106 (Industrial Avenue eastbound) offramp.  

Drivers should reduce speed and exercise caution.

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area. 

   All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.

This work is part of an ongoing $337 million multi-bridge replacement project for I-495 over Merrimack River, I-495 over Route 110/113, and Industrial Avenue over I-495 in Haverhill – Methuen.
