Budget and Finance

The mission of the Finance Department is to provide a comprehensive and accurate assessment of the city's financial condition. This department includes the Auditing Office, the Treasurer's and Collector's Office, and the Assessor's Office. Together, we ensure that tax dollars are used efficiently, that the city's property tax base is classified fairly and equitably, and that financial reports are timely, accurate, and relevant for stakeholders. 

The department is responsible for overseeing the city’s operating and capital budgets, managing all cash inflows and outflows, handling investments, supervising debt issuance, and maintaining accurate property valuations in collaboration with the Department of Revenue.
