Rosemont Street Bridge Replacement

Constructed in 1934, the Rosemont Street bridge connects Hilldale Avenue and Main Street by crossing the Little River, a perennial stream. Commercial and residential traffic often use this road as a thru-way to reach the highway. After nearly a century of heavy use, the structure has extensive deterioration which requires replacement.

The existing bridge will be demolished and replaced with a longer structure to fully meet the Massachusetts Stream Crossing Standards. Restoration of the stream bed and banks are required post-construction. This project addresses the safety, structural, and operational deficiencies of the current bridge and fully accomplishes Massachusetts Stream Crossing Standards.
