Reserve a Rec Department Facility

What Requires a Facility Permit?

Most outdoor athletic facilities are permitted by the Haverhill Recreation Department. Depending on the type of organized activity or event you are planning, you may be required to get a permit. Organized activities are any type of reservation done on behalf of an organization on a temporary or consistent basis. These include all youth and adult athletic practices, private events, events open to the public, and/or fundraisers. Birthday parties or small family gatherings not utilizing specific facilities within a park may not need permits but should always be communicated to the Recreation Department in case additional steps are required. While Recreation Department approval is necessary, required paperwork may vary. Many permit requests will not be approved without required documentation which may include but are not limited to insurance, proof of CORI checks, or permits from other City Departments.
