City Clerk Announces Haverhill 2025 "Top Dog" Contest Winners

City Clerk, Kaitlin Wright, is pleased to announce the winners of the 4th Annual “Haverhill Top Dog” contest. The contest encourages residents to license their dogs by offering them a friendly competition. The winners were randomly chosen Monday at the City Clerk’s Office.

1st Place was awarded to “Ollie,” a one-year-old male Chorkie. He is owned by Cynthia Morgan. Ollie is now proudly displaying dog license #1 and the first-place trophy.

2nd Place was awarded to “Silas,” a two-year-old male Chihuahua mix. His owner is Robin Doyle. Silas was awarded dog license #2.

Finally, 3rd Place was awarded to “Pearl,” an eight-year-old female Pug. Her owner is Hannah Jelly. Pearl was awarded dog license #3.

City Clerk, Kaitlin Wright commented “A huge thank you to everyone who entered the contest and congratulations to the winners. This year, we saw our highest turnout of contestants with 73 total entries! We have enjoyed seeing the photos of your furry friends and are excited to post the photos in our office and on our website to showcase the winners. Be on the lookout for our contest next year!”

Dogs must be licensed before May 31st or will incur a late fee. New dogs may be licensed at any time. Licensing can be completed in person at the Clerk’s Office located at City Hall, Room 118, 4 Summer Street, online (click here), or by mail. A copy of a valid rabies certificate is required for licensing.

A copy of a valid rabies certificate is required for licensing.

1st Place was awarded to “Harry,” a five-year old male German Shepherd. He is owned by Joann Licari. Harry is now proudly displaying dog license #1.

2nd Place was awarded to “Karma,” a one-year old male German Shepherd. His owner is Ted Smallwood. Karma was awarded dog license #2

3rd Place was awarded to “Sadie,” a five-year old male Standard Poodle. Her owners are Elisa and Eric Sanders. Sadie was awarded dog license #3.

1st Place was awarded to “Max,” a two-year old male mixed breed. He is owned by Joan Hatem-Roy. Max is now proudly displaying dog license #1.

2nd Place was awarded to “Ginger,” a six-year old female Collie mix. Her owner is David Boucher. Ginger was awarded dog license #2.

3rd Place was awarded to “Bruno,” a two-year old male Labrador Retriever. His owner is Anne Rosa. Bruno was awarded dog license #3.

1st Place was awarded to “Mitzi,” a twelve-year old female Labrador Retriever mix. She is owned by Terry Kenny. Mitzi is now proudly displaying dog license #1.

2nd Place was awarded to “Maddie,” a fifteen-year old female King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. Her owner is Judy DeMellia. Maddie was awarded dog license #2.

3rd Place was awarded to “Rigby,” a seven-year old male Hound. His owner is Nancy Beirne. Rigby was given license #3.
